According to a research done by Harvard University, people with neck pain conditions need to use a cushion that is made from either memory foam or an adjustable inner-core cushion such as the water base pillow that will naturally conform with the user’ head while at the same time ensuring the neck remains in proper alignment with the spine. Cervical and orthopedic pillows are specifically created to perform this function.

A Johns Hopkins study revealed that water-based and memory foam pillows have an added advantage since they redistribute your entire weight during motion absorbing the shock produced to your vertebra. I have had Mediflow Water base Pillow for almost a month now and have had less neck pain than before I started using it. I have a herniated disk in my lower neck and needed better support. This pillow provides that. I used air to fill it instead of water and it was easier to find the level I wanted, and I don’t have to worry about it swishing around. The only criticism I have for this pillow is that there isn’t much padding on top.
